Redwood Empire Awning has been in continuous business under the same family ownership since 1951. Redwood Empire Awning Co. has 231 years of employee experience in the awning industry. We believe we are the most experienced company in Northern California. Redwood Empire Awning Co. prides itself in its reputation for reliability, quality, technical capability and service. Our shop has the proper, and most modern sewing and welding equipment, backed up by our many years of experience and training in the correct design and technique demanded by each job. Every order is custom designed and fabricated.

Redwood Empire Awning and Furniture Co., is a Northern California leader in quality canvas awnings, industrial canvas products and Agriculture Products. The company has won the prestigious "Outstanding Achievement Award", issued by the Industrial Fabrics Association International, for installation of residential awnings and has consistently received awards from the Western Canvas Products Association each year since 1988.

Redwood Empire Awning Co. was founded in 1951 by Don J. Lenney after 22 years as Sales Manager for the Swanfeldt Awning Co. of Los Angeles, CA. Ownership was assumed in 1976 by Leon Lenney and his wife Marilyn. Leon has spent his entire working career with the company, a total of 34 years. Michael Lenney, Leon's oldest son, joined the company in 1981. He has worked in production and installation and is now contributing his 14 years of experience as Residential Sales/Customer Service Rep.. Gregory Lenney, Leon's youngest son, started with the company in 1989 and is now production and installation Supervisor. Dennis Shortt, Commercial Sales/Customer Service Rep., contributes 32 years in canvas awning and industrial fabric product production, sales and design. Redwood Empire Awning is a California State Licensed Contractor for commercial and residential work and has a fully trained staff using the most up to date machinery for complete in-house fabrication of the entire product.
