Chamise
Creek tents are made out of tough 10.38oz. cotton army duck. It is treated
to be fire-retardant, water & mildew resistant. Our tents will
withstand the most extreme weather conditions. Our tents offer 5-0 side
walls and a 9-0 ridge. 6" stove jack, 12" vinyl ground cloth,
vinyl reinforcement across ridge & at top of end walls. The door
offers a 8-0 opening, secured by a LENZIP zipper. Side release buckles
secure the 10" storm flap. Since a lot of people like to make there
own tent stakes & rope tension adjuster, they do not come with the
tents, but are offered as an option. Many make their own frames, but we do
offer one of the lightest and most compact frames on the market. Chamise
Creek Tents will offer you a stable camp, so you can concentrate on your
outdoor adventures.
All Tents Are Not Created Equal
-
Chamise Creeks material has a second coating, making
it 2-3 times more water & mildew resistant than other tents.
-
Manufactures typically use a chain stitch to seam
their material together. A chain stitch is similar to a stitch on a
dog food bag. (Pop one stitch and the whole seam comes undone.) A
chain stitch generally uses a 5/8" overlap on there seams. On
Chamise Creek tents, we use a double needle lock stitch machine. (Pop
one stitch and nothing will happen other than you popped one stitch.)
with a full 1" overlap.

Redwood Empire Awning has been in business for 50
